 LASH LIFT FAQs:

+ WHAT IS A LASH LIFT AND TINT?

A lash lift and tint is a non-invasive lash service that uses cream solutions to permanently “lift” and tint the eyelashes. Lash lifting is essentially a new-age lash perm that uses cream-based products and silicone rods to curl natural eyelashes—eliminating the need for traditional eyelash curlers. Unlike old school lash perms, which use barrel rollers and give lashes a tight and unnatural curl, lash lifts use silicone rods to lift the natural lashes upward, simultaneously giving height, length and volume. Lash tints often accompany lash lifts (although a tint may be done on its own) and darkens the natural lashes. When a lash lift and tint are performed together, they replace the need for daily eyelash curling and mascara.

+HOW LONG WILL THE LASH LIFT APPOINTMENT TAKE?

-The whole lash lift process takes about 45-60mins; adding Tint will take extra 10-15mins

+ HOW LONG WILL MY LASH LIFT LAST?

On average it will last 5-8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle and lash condition. During a lash lift, natural eyelash are permanently curled and lifted upward. However, as mature eyelashes naturally shed and new lashes grow in, you’ll reach a point where you have enough new growth to need another lash lift. This usually happens after 6-8 weeks.

+ WILL THE LASH LIFT DAMAGE MY NATUAL LASHES ??

The active ingredient in lash lift is a gentle perm solution meant for eyelashes. When performed by a trained technician and when aftercare instructions are properly followed, your natural lashes will not be damaged in the process. Additionally, we treat your lashes with a deep conditioning Keratin treatment which will strengthen your natural lashes.

+ WHEN CAN I WEAR EYE MAKEUP?

You may wear eye makeup 24 hours after the lash lift treatment. However, we highly recommend using oil-free mascara & make-up remover .

+ DO I STILL NEED TO USE A EYELASH CURLER?

No, that is one of the benefits of a lash lift! The natural lash will stay curled throughout the rest of its cycle, so there is no need to use a eyelash curler. Just be sure the lashes stay dry within the first 24 hours.

+ WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LASH LIFT AND LASH EXTENSIONS?

A lash lift gives a semi-permanent curl to the existing natural lashes, while lash extensions are applied 1:1 on top of each natural lash. Lifting the lashes will enhance your natural lashes. Eyelash extensions give a more dramatic result, but require additional maintenance.

+AM I GOOD CANDIDATE FOR A LASH LIFT & TINT?

Eyelash Lift & Tint MAY NOT be suitable for clients that:

  • Have very little natural eyelashes or have nothing. The gaps between your lashes will be more noticeable

  • Have pre-existing eye(lid) conditions such as chronic dry eye, blepharitis, conjunctivitis and ocular rosacea

  • Lasik surgery (wait a minimum of 3 months from your procedure)

  • Have Trichotillomania (compulsive pulling or twisting hair, eyebrows and eyelashes)

  • Have very sensitive eyes or possible allergies to adhesive (recommended to book an appointment for a patch test)

  • Undergoing chemo treatments or have had chemo treatments within the past year (recommend to consult with your physician)

  • Are sensitive or have allergies to dyes (recommended to book an appointment for a patch test)

  • As with any beauty service, pregnant or breastfeeding women should speak with their physician before getting a lash lift. Lash lifting products do not touch the skin, however, if a reaction or sensitivity was to occur during or following the service, pregnant women may not be permitted to treat it with antihistamines or other medications. Pregnancy has also been known to affect the growth rate and texture of hair and eyelashes, so pregnant clients may experience less lift than usual.
