Pre & Post Care for Brows

Pre-Care Instructions

Before your procedure, please follow these guidelines to ensure the best results:

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and vitamin E for 48-72 hours before your appointment. If you are sensitive to pain, you may take Tylenol instead.

  • Refrain from chemical peels, Botox, or fillers for at least 3 weeks before your procedure.

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning. If you have a sunburn on your face, wait at least 3 weeks before your appointment.

  • Discontinue Retin-A, retinol, Vitamin C, and any AHA/BHA acid products on the brow area for 2 weeks prior. These products accelerate skin cell turnover, increasing sensitivity, irritation, and poor pigment retention.

  • Accutane users: You must be off Accutane for at least 6 months before undergoing any semi-permanent makeup procedure, as it significantly affects skin sensitivity and healing.

  • No alcohol consumption 24 hours before your appointment. If you are sensitive to caffeine, avoid drinking coffee before your procedure.

  • Arrive with your regular brow makeup applied if possible. This allows the artist to see your preferred everyday look. Reference photos of brow shapes and colors are also welcomed.

  • If you have any medical conditions, please consult your doctor and contact us before scheduling your appointment. Your health and safety are our priority.

  • Semi-permanent procedures cannot be performed on clients who are under 18 years old, pregnant, breastfeeding, or currently taking Accutane. Please reschedule your appointment if any of these apply to you.

Post-Care Instructions

  • First 24 Hours: Keep your brows completely dry—no contact with water.

  • Days 3-5: Avoid heavy workouts or excessive sweating.

  • Days 5-7: Apply the provided aftercare gel 2-3 times daily using a clean applicator. A light layer is enough to prevent infection, promote healing, and balance skin pH.

  • Days 1-7: Use only gentle skincare products. Avoid Retinoids, Retinol, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliants, acidic products, and face oils near or on the treated area. (For better pigment retention, we recommend avoiding these products even after healing is complete.)

  • Days 1-10: Avoid facials, brow makeup, saunas, hot yoga, and swimming.

  • Days 8-10: Once healed, apply a light layer of sunscreen to protect your brows from sun exposure.

  • During the Healing Process: Your brows may feel itchy—DO NOT pick, peel, or scratch the area to prevent uneven pigment, scarring, and infection.

  • For 3 Weeks: Avoid laser treatments or chemical peels. If receiving any treatments, ensure the eyebrow area is avoided.

    Healing Process

  • Days 1-4: The treated area will appear darker.

  • Days 5-7: Your brows will start peeling. DO NOT pick or peel!

  • Weeks 2-3: The color may appear significantly faded. This is normal. The pigment will gradually reappear within a few days. Now is the perfect time to schedule your touch-up session within 10 weeks of your initial appointment.

  • Weeks 3-4: The pigment will start to reappear (but 30-50% faded). If you notice empty spots, don’t worry—we’ll perfect them during your touch-up session.

    Touch-Up Session

  • Your session includes a complimentary touch-up within 10 weeks.

  • To book your touch-up session, you must TEXT 929-400-5855.

  • The ideal time frame for your touch-up is 5-8 weeks after your initial session.

  • Booking your touch-up within 10 weeks is your responsibility. If you miss your touch-up session, an additional fee will apply.

  • To ensure the best results, touch-up appointments cannot be rescheduled. Only book if you are certain about your availability.

  • Touch-up appointments typically take 60 to 100 minutes, including numbing time.
